An epic victory

When we read about Novak Djokovic’s victory over Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open, we were reminded of this quote:

I always turn to the sports section first. The sports section records people’s accomplishments; the front page nothing but man’s failures.
– Earl Warren (14th Chief Justice of the United States)

And what an accomplishment! Djokovic and Nadal battled it out for 5 hours and 52 minutes, shattering the records for the longest Grand Slam final in history and the longest match at the Australian Open.

After winning, Djokovic tore off his shirt in triumph. A bit over the top, but we figure he earned it.

Today’s t-shirt has been hand-torn in honour of sportsmanship everywhere.
